We worked with two brewers, Andy and Morgan based in Banagher, Co. Offaly who wanted us to design a new brand for their beer. As a small start-up craft brewery, they didn’t have big budgets but had big aspirations for a brand which would allow them to create a buzz in the market and engage with their target audience of male beer drinkers between the ages of 25 and 45.

We created the concept of the Bo Bristle boar character to help it stand out from the saturated craft beer market and appear more of a mainstream offering. Playing on the mythical legend of Bo Bristle, loosely based on the wild boar from the Fenian Cycle of Irish mythology, we designed the boars head icon and logotype not only to represent the beer's strength of character and flavour but to also work effectively on promotional material from the bottles to beer mats and even counter mounts which we custom designed and had commissioned to make out of Irish oak and laser cut metal.

The icon and logotype vary in composition depending on implementation requirements allowing the brand stay distinctive and engaging over time.
