Mosaic

Mark Swords – Mosaic features a custom-drawn headline font based upon the geometric patterns and intersections found in decorative mosaic (tile) work.

The central challenge of the design brief was to create a neutral holder or repository for a body of work that is notable for its diverse material qualities (hence the austere/subtle cover design), while simultaneously capturing the materiality of Mark Swords work - through the juxtaposition of incongruous and contrasting materials and the subversive and irreverent use of traditional book binding materials.
