Brand creation for PRESENTER - a web application to help designers create a brief, present their work and gain a faster project approval through collaboration and conversation.

The idea for PRESENTER was born out of a frustration of 'playing email tennis' throughout the course of certain design projects. Often comments on either side are misunderstood and can slow progress.

Designers should be in control of how their work is presented and lead the design conversation / collaboration. Presentations in person are always ideal but with project deadlines becoming tighter this is not always possible.

The challenge here was creating a brand that would appeal to designers. A monochrome palette and strictly limited font set was chosen to present / promote the premise of the app. The mark was an adaptation of the headline font.

A key feature in PRESENTER is the Brief builder, where the designer is in control of creating the brief, even if it involves rewriting the clients brief. An often overlooked part of a design process, a clearly defined and concise brief gives a benchmark for any work to be measured. The absence of such inevitably results in projects that run over schedule, over budget & or fail to meet expectations. To promote this particular feature, a series of posters featuring all too familiar client comments was produced.

The web app itself has yet to make it into production, mainly because of a current lack of funds & and more importantly, time required to make it viable. However, never say never!

Work involved: naming, logo design, responsive launch website & blog, online marketing collateral, web app wireframe & UI design.
